With emissions rising and global temperature increases, Quedlinburg is now experiencing the destructive effects of climate change. The city has already been experiencing major flooding due to climate conditions. Only 25% of the project site has unsealed surfaces. Problems will continue if the city does not manage it's storm water.
Restore, Recharge, and Retain, to Clean and Connect (3R to C). A holistic solution which seeks for a more effective way to manage storm water, and help with the climate crises through a full proof plan of implementing Sponge City solutions to create a more resilient city.
